Beaches at the Odder Coast

Welcome to some of Denmark's best beaches

There are barely any stones on the white sandy beaches and the bright water is in a class of its own. And near the beach, you can easily change or go to the bathroom. Although the east coast is referred to as gentle and child-friendly when it comes to bathing, it is not boring. With cosy caravan sites and areas with summer houses, activities in the charming coastal towns and easy access to shopping, the Odder Coast is an obvious destination for your next holiday.

At the same time, big cities like Aarhus and Horsens as well as attractions such as FÆNGSLET, LEGOLAND® and Moesgaard are nearby.

We recommend a week's holiday in Odder, so you can test the beaches yourself. Book a holiday home at e.g. Feriepartner Odder-Juelsminde or spend the night in a tent at Saksild Strand Camping. Check out your many options at the bottom of the page.

Blue flag beaches are your guarantee of good conditions

If you take a walk along the Odder Coast from Hou to Rude Beach, you will encounter several blue flags. Blue Flag is an international eco-labelling scheme that ensures good experiences at the beaches and ports. It assures you that the bathing water is clean, that there are good facilities at the beach and that service and safety on the beaches are top notch.

At Saksild Beach, there is a lifeguard tower where, during the summer, lifeguards keep a watchful eye on you and the youngest family members.

Inspiration for spending the night at the coast

Along the Odder Coast, each beach has its own campsite. And you will find thousands of summer houses on the beach waiting to be visited by families in need of a break.
